Benedita LumeStarting smoking in a dream shows a search for a comfort that leaves nothing behind in your hands. This kind of habit or distraction offers a warmth that disappears as soon as it is felt, much like a mist that clears to reveal an empty room. When we look for solace in things that simply vanish, we find ourselves grasping at shadows.
The way this dream moves can show how your energy is being spent. If you find yourself tending to dying embers, you are likely pouring your strength into a task that has already lost its heat. This feeling of wasted effort can be heavy, as it pulls your attention away from what is actually alive and growing. I too have sat by a hearth that gave nothing back but ash, dear. There is a relief in letting the old fires go out so that you may find a more lasting warmth.

Benedita LumeInterpreter interprets your dreams
Well, dear, the old houses never treated a dream as a stranger at the door. A dream was given a chair at the table like a cousin from far away. Most of what it carries is a warm sign about the life already around you, and even a hard one is usually a reminder about something small at home. Rest easy. The house is still standing.
