Benedita LumeShaving off a beard shows you are stepping out from under an old name. This dream shows a turning away from a position or a role that has long defined your standing among others. When a person parts with a mantle they have worn for years, they find themselves in a different kind of space.
The things you used to hold up for others to see are being put down. You are moving away from a way of carrying yourself that relied on a certain kind of gravity or age. I feel the lightness of a new way of walking in my own life when I leave behind what is no longer mine. The skin feels clean and the air reaches you more easily.
A shaved beard leaves you feeling lighter. Because the weight of that old image has been lifted, this dream shows you moving through your days with a much easier step.
A beard being cut off carries a sharper edge of being severed from what you once knew. This dream tells of a sudden loss of your usual place in the circle of your people.
Cutting someone’s beard or shaving someone’s beard means that your dignity is being altered by hands other than your own. This dream shows a loss of authority that comes from outside your control, dear.
Trimming a beard adds a note of modesty to the main dream. This shows that the change in your standing is not a loss, but a careful and intentional shaping of how you present yourself to the world.

Benedita LumeInterpreter interprets your dreams
Well, dear, the old houses never treated a dream as a stranger at the door. A dream was given a chair at the table like a cousin from far away. Most of what it carries is a warm sign about the life already around you, and even a hard one is usually a reminder about something small at home. Rest easy. The house is still standing.
