Benedita LumeRotten wood in a dream shows where the foundation of a matter has lost its strength. When something has been left to the damp and the dark for too long, it can no longer hold the weight it was meant to carry. You find that the things you once leaned on for support are crumbling because they have been neglected.
This decay marks a moment where the old ways of doing things are no longer reliable. The way the grain yields under a thumb means it cannot stand firm against the wind. I have watched a heavy beam snap because it looked solid but was empty inside. It is a sign that what is being used is no longer fit for the task, dear.
The rot is simply what happens when life is not tended with care. You possess the clarity to see where the structure is failing so that you do not build upon it. You see the truth of the grain before the whole house shifts.

Benedita LumeInterpreter interprets your dreams
Well, dear, the old houses never treated a dream as a stranger at the door. A dream was given a chair at the table like a cousin from far away. Most of what it carries is a warm sign about the life already around you, and even a hard one is usually a reminder about something small at home. Rest easy. The house is still standing.
