Benedita LumeReversing a car undoes steps that you have already taken. This dream shows a turning back of the course of affairs, much like a person walking back through a doorway they have just passed to retrieve something forgotten.
When this movement happens, it suggests a period where the way things are moving is not forward. You move with an awkward retreat from a path that was once set. I look back at my own old choices when I feel this pull. Such a dream carries the weight of a sudden halt in your usual momentum. Still, you hold the truth of where you have been.
Backing up a car shows you are moving with care to find your way back to what you already know.
A car driving backwards, when it happens without your hand on the wheel, signals a hindrance that feels out of your grasp.

Benedita LumeInterpreter interprets your dreams
Well, dear, the old houses never treated a dream as a stranger at the door. A dream was given a chair at the table like a cousin from far away. Most of what it carries is a warm sign about the life already around you, and even a hard one is usually a reminder about something small at home. Rest easy. The house is still standing.
