Benedita LumeEating pens shows how you take the words and pacts of others into your own body. This dream shows a moment where the boundaries of what is official or decided are being absorbed into your own being. You are consuming the tools of agreement and order, making the external laws a part of your own substance.
The act of eating such things suggests a way of processing the obligations and the pacts that hold a world together. When you swallow these instruments of record, you are making the weight of authority something you carry within yourself. This can feel like a heavy burden, as if the rigid lines of a contract are now part of your own flesh. I swallow my own words when I try to live by the rules of the house. Well, you know, dear, you carry a capacity to hold these truths deep inside. You possess the strength to keep what is promised close to the heart.

Benedita LumeInterpreter interprets your dreams
Well, dear, the old houses never treated a dream as a stranger at the door. A dream was given a chair at the table like a cousin from far away. Most of what it carries is a warm sign about the life already around you, and even a hard one is usually a reminder about something small at home. Rest easy. The house is still standing.
