Benedita LumeChasing a cat shows you are following a clever companion that refuses to be known. This dream shows how we often exhaust ourselves trying to grasp at something that is designed to remain just out of reach.
You find yourself following a shadow that will not be caught. This pursuit can leave you feeling worn, as if you are working to unmask a deception that is always one step ahead. I once spent many a long afternoon trying to catch a stray thought that would not stay still. Well, you know, the heart is often more elusive than the mind. There is a peace that comes when you finally let the thing go.
A black cat in a dream makes the pursuit feel more heavy, because the dark color suggests a deceit that is harder to see coming. Being chased by a cat turns the direction of the dream, turning the search for truth into a moment where a reckoning has arrived.
The sight of a black cat while chasing it tells you that the slight you are pursuing is wrapped in shadows.

Benedita LumeInterpreter interprets your dreams
Well, dear, the old houses never treated a dream as a stranger at the door. A dream was given a chair at the table like a cousin from far away. Most of what it carries is a warm sign about the life already around you, and even a hard one is usually a reminder about something small at home. Rest easy. The house is still standing.
