Dream about an election

An election in a dream is the settling of a dispute that has been weighing on the mind. It is the way a person finally decides between two paths or two truths that have been pulling in different directions. This struggle forces different parts of a life to stand before one another and show which one truly holds the ground.

The weight of this dream is the strain of the struggle itself, as nothing is certain until the choice is made. You may feel the tension of the disagreement as it sits in your chest, like a heavy tool left on a clean table. I sit with the heaviness of a choice that stays unmade, too. Yet, there is a relief in the movement toward a conclusion, for the end of a contest is the beginning of a new order. You have the strength to stand by whatever comes through the gate.

A dream of losing an election brings the disappointment of a choice that did not go your way. You find yourself standing on the outside of a path you had hoped to walk.

The dream of winning an election shows that you have reached the end of a contest and found your footing. You carry the sense of a person who has stood their ground and seen their purpose confirmed.

The act of voting in an election shows that you are no longer just a witness to the dispute, but a participant in its resolution. You are lending your own hand to the decision that must be made.
