Benedita LumeA tongue is the tool of your sworn word and the way you reach out to others. Because speech is the way we build our lives and our homes, this symbol shows how your truth is being handled or held.
The way you use your voice carries the power to bind or to break. When this power is misused, the dream shows a loss of the ability to speak your heart clearly. I have known the way a secret sits in the mouth like a stone. You hold the capacity for honesty within you. It is a comfort to know that your true meaning remains even when the sound is lost.
The dream of cutting off a tongue shows a sudden and forced loss of your ability to express what is real. This happens because the power of speech has been severed, leaving you in a state where your words cannot reach their mark.
A hairy tongue makes the dream of speech feel coarse and difficult. The words feel thick and unyielding in the mouth, catching like wool against the teeth.
A black tongue or a swollen tongue indicates that the speech you carry has become heavy or unhealthy. These states show that the words are being blocked or are carrying a shadow, much like a door that has swollen shut in the damp.

Benedita LumeInterpreter interprets your dreams
Well, dear, the old houses never treated a dream as a stranger at the door. A dream was given a chair at the table like a cousin from far away. Most of what it carries is a warm sign about the life already around you, and even a hard one is usually a reminder about something small at home. Rest easy. The house is still standing.
