Benedita LumeA roof collapsing in a dream shows where the shelter you rely on is no longer holding. This dream speaks of the weight that settles upon a person when the structures that keep the world at bay begin to fail.
The feeling of a dream like this is one of being exposed to the elements of life without a ceiling to catch the rain. When the highest point of a home gives out, the sense of being guarded is stripped away. You look up and see the open air where the wood and tile used to be, and the air in the room feels colder without the lid on the house. You find that the strength you thought was solid is actually yielding to a strain that has grown too great to carry. There is a sorrow that enters the room when the covering fails. It is a sign that the things you use to shield yourself are tired, but this truth allows you to see exactly where the support must be mended.
Seeing a roof falling in during a dream carries the shock of a sudden blow. This dream shows how the spirit gives up all at once, leaving you wide open before you can even move.
When you dream of a roof caving in, you are witnessing a slow yielding to weight. This dream shows how a long-held strain finally forces the structure to give way.
A house roof collapsing in a dream makes the loss of security feel very personal and local. Because the roof belongs to the house itself, the dream points to a grief that settles deep within the family or the private life.

Benedita LumeInterpreter interprets your dreams
Well, dear, the old houses never treated a dream as a stranger at the door. A dream was given a chair at the table like a cousin from far away. Most of what it carries is a warm sign about the life already around you, and even a hard one is usually a reminder about something small at home. Rest easy. The house is still standing.
