Benedita LumeA possum in a dream shows how someone around you is acting with a false sense of vulnerability to get their own way. This kind of person uses a soft or helpless appearance to hide what they are really up to. It is a way of moving through the world by pretending to be less than they are.
When this dream shows a possum attack, it means an aggressive impulse is finally making itself known. The time for pretending is over, and the hidden sharpness of a person is coming forward. I once watched a hand pull back a mask to reveal a sudden, biting intent. You have the strength to meet what is coming.
Seeing a dead possum means the deceit has reached its end. The trickery can no longer breathe because the falsehood has been exhausted.
Killing a possum in a dream shows you are finding your footing again as you cut through a lie. The struggle with a dishonest influence is being resolved by your own hand.
An opossum in a dream carries the same weight of pretending, but it often points to a specific desire to steer clear of any direct confrontation.
An attack by a possum shows that a hidden aggression is finally breaking through a mask of weakness. The person who was pretending is now showing their true, sharp nature.
A possum in a house brings this sense of pretense into your very private life and your own stability. It shows where a lack of honesty is unsettling the peace of your daily surroundings.

Benedita LumeInterpreter interprets your dreams
Well, dear, the old houses never treated a dream as a stranger at the door. A dream was given a chair at the table like a cousin from far away. Most of what it carries is a warm sign about the life already around you, and even a hard one is usually a reminder about something small at home. Rest easy. The house is still standing.
