Benedita LumeA flash flood marks a time when life is overtaken by a surge of trouble that arrives before you can prepare. This kind of dream shows how a sudden weight of events can sweep through your usual peace, leaving you struggling to find your footing.
When the water rises fast, the dream shows a danger that moves with a speed that leaves no room for thought. This suddenness means the pressure you feel is not something you can walk away from or reason with. I have known how a heavy tide can knock the wind out of a person.
The mud in a muddy flash flood signifies that this period of upheaval also brings a heavy sense of loss. The thickness of the water suggests that the things being swept away are not easily recovered, as the debris of the struggle clouds everything you once knew clearly. You find that your strength is enough to endure the current, dear. The waves eventually recede, leaving the ground ready for a new settling.
To be caught in a flash flood is to feel the water hit you before you can even turn to run. This dream places you directly under the weight of the trouble as it happens.

Benedita LumeInterpreter interprets your dreams
Well, dear, the old houses never treated a dream as a stranger at the door. A dream was given a chair at the table like a cousin from far away. Most of what it carries is a warm sign about the life already around you, and even a hard one is usually a reminder about something small at home. Rest easy. The house is still standing.
