Benedita LumeA broken elevator shows a fracture in the way you move through the different levels of your life. This dream points to a moment where the usual ways of rising or falling in your world have lost their reliability. When the mechanisms that carry you from one station to another fail, the very ground of your social or professional standing feels unsteady.
The suddenness of this shift can leave you feeling as though the structure you rely on has lost its integrity. You may find that the momentum you once counted on has turned into something that lacks control. I have known the way a floor gives way and leaves you grasping for a handhold. Well, dear, even when the way up or down is lost, you are still the one who walks. You are already standing on what is real.
When the elevator is spinning or shaking, you are met with a wildness that makes your footing feel precarious. This lack of a firm hand on the controls makes the shift in your station feel like a tumble.
A broken lift or an elevator that will not work forces a stop to the things you usually do to move forward. This stillness means you have been set aside from your work for a time.
The sense of an elevator breaking is the feeling of a clean break from the life you knew. It is a sudden snap in the connection to what once held you up.
An elevator not stopping moves with a wildness that has no master. It carries you along with a speed that makes it impossible to find your center.
You are floating in an elevator, held in the air far above the dark. This weightlessness turns the broken machine into a gentle current that moves you along.

Benedita LumeInterpreter interprets your dreams
Well, dear, the old houses never treated a dream as a stranger at the door. A dream was given a chair at the table like a cousin from far away. Most of what it carries is a warm sign about the life already around you, and even a hard one is usually a reminder about something small at home. Rest easy. The house is still standing.
